AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

The only reason i feel any remorse about him being killed is that he had a wife and kid. But other then that I could care less.

These are people advocating physical harm towards those who are expressing their opinions and views. There are also open racists who see all Mulims and Arabs as terrorists. I don't like those websites, and I certainly think that their messages are counter productive, but I also think that people who are so blatantly anti-american as some posters here and people that I've met in person are far worse than the websites. And don't give me any of that liberal pansy crap. I'm pretty damn far to the right and certainly lean republican when voting. But I am also educated to at least know the basic content and spirit of the constitution and at least in MY interpretation, those who have their own opinions are entitled to them. And those that advocate taking away that right and hurting them are anti-american.

I agree that they have the right to state their opinion, even if it is blaintly against those who GAVE them that right, but we also have the right to disagree STRONGLY. Especially if it is a uncalled for statement.
Like, say I called your mom a whore (I do not in any way think this, it is an example. Mods, please don't hurt me.) Am I entitled to my opinion in this case? Do you not want to hurt me?
Please don't get me wrong, I am not advocating violence, I am just saying that in some cases it is a human instinct.

Oh, I think that you definately have the right to disagree VERY STRONGLY! I think that even in your example, I'd simply write you off as a crack pot and move on with my life. I honestly think that there are some people, maybe not this guy, but there are certainly some of them that say things like this for attention, and you just gotta ignore them. But when people tell me that these people should "die" or "had it coming", well, in my mind, I may disagree with those people that are "against the troops", but I certainly think that their opinions are valid, I think that their data collection is errant and that their conclusions are flat out wrong, but I don't think that you can condemn people for saying what they think. However, those that OPENLY speak out against the Constitution, words and spirit, because they are roused by anger towards individuals I find to be far more anti-American than the people that they are attacking.
At heart, I'm a constitutionalist. I'm a liberal, most people say, but when it comes to anything like this, I'm as hardcore constitutionalist as Justice Scalia. I agree that some of these things may be human instinct, but so is revenge, even killing someone. So is inflicting pain, so is racism to some individuals. This is about control. The minute you say "His life is worthless because he doesn't agree with my opinions", you have crossed the line.

The site and the "murder" is a hoax. The guy is probably eating this stuff up, laughing at all the people he's getting riled up. Some people think that raging is fun.

That idot probally didnt even graduate hight school. He looks like hes on some kind of drugs.
Anyways God Bless America
How allegiant. You've touched my heart with the dazzling display of digital patriotism, how about a car window flag to go along with that?
Although that guy is a total moron, and I disagree with most everything he says, he could have at least made some very valid points, had he been able to create such a site without the use of a thesaurus.

As i said i dont think he deserved to die, he was stating his oppnion people in the armed forces are dying every day to protect his right to that. But what i was saying is that i wouldnt care at all about him dieing just as he didnt care bout our troops dieing.

Then you care as little about human life as he does *shrug* I don't know how you could make that any more poinant. I was brought up to value life and not to compare that value verses another's life, but thats just me.

heh, don't get me started on those things. I think they are pretty silly. I like the idea of people who have loved ones in the active service having them on their person and all, but I really don't like the direction that these things have turned, where people who have them on their cars think that having it makes them more "patriotic" than the next fellow.

I do value human life, just value the life of people i respect or think are good people much more then people that I dont respect. This guy i dont respect.

I think thats a fair outlook, certainly understandable.

Hmm, don't know that I've ever heard someone say they were more patriotic just because of the sticker/magnet (although I don't know everyone who has one). Most people are probably sincere when they purchase them. I guess you could say the same thing about the Yellow Wrist Bands everyone has now (as well as other colors/causes). It is nice that people are showing support for the troops instead of spitting on them like they used to do.
wow. i have no idea what people are talking about. i clicked the link, and the title said "forsake our troops?" and then i saw someone hit a drum, then it was a BMW commercial.
