Indiana drinking laws

I will be a freshmen at Indiana University next year and am wondering if in Indiana it is legal for reasturants to serve alchol to people over 18if they have a parent or gaurdian wiht them who consents to it. I know in ohio and texas this is the case, but not sure bout Indiana. Thanks

i hate to say it, but dont even worry about it. go in with some friends, one who is over 21 of course. if he gets carded, then get a coke and leave, if not, take advantage of it and drink. we do it all the time in college

That doesn't work in Jersey very often. A lot of the time they'll take all the drink orders before asking for ID.

Though liquer stores and supermarkets can't sell any kind of alcohol on Sunday. But some restaurants can. I *believe* they have to sell xx amount $$ in food a year.

um, drinking age has been 21 nationally for quite some time. Although, they are working on a law that allows military folks 18+ to drink on base...they figure, we can send em to war, may as well allow them to drink before they go. Solution? Join the military

I know drinking age is 21 but in some place they let your drink with parents if u are 18.

I remember drinking on base at 17. I started basic training 1 1/2 months before my 18th birthday fresh out of highschool back in 80.

wierd, i jsut know ive been to to a couple reasturants in oxford where they have been fine wiht serving drinks to my sisters as long as my mom or dad were there.

Well i know it is the law in texas cause we had a long discussion one night at dinner about it wiht my uncle who is a lawyer in dallas

yea in WI you can get a drink as long as your parent says its ok.
