    Cutting glass

Ok how do I do this? What specail tool do I need?
I need (Want) to drill a hole through some glass.
(Going to make a Bud 40 ounc into a lamp.. I'm bored..)

The glass just owned my dremel and drill. Didn't leave a damn scratch or anything.

A vice to hold the bottle very still and put sticky tape or masking tape on the bottle where you want to drill, steady gentle pressure and not too fast a speed as the glass can still shatter so wear some shop goggles...for a bit I would use those titanium tipped ones...generally gold in colour. Using a drill press would of course be ideal.

You need diamond grit to drill glass. A little kerosene works wonders too.

Torch and a screwdriver. Problem solved.

Sandblasting works, but it leaves a dull area unless you mask well with the right thing.

You need a drill bit with diamond in the tip to cut glass cleanly. Check out stained glass stores, they'll either have one or know where you can get one.

Oh, and have a lot of extra bottles handy. Chances are you'll break a few.
