    Batman Begins

    Four words:

    GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Totally blows the first set of movies out of the water. Pretend they don't exist and go see this one.

While all the other Batman's focused on special effects and the villians, this one focuses on Batman, and his motivations. Why Bruce created the persona of Batman, what his goals are.

Theres still plenty of action and whatnot, but its much more character-driven than mindless special effects. Plus it has an amazing cast. There wasn't a single bad performance in the movie. All the actors were amazing (but it was to be expected with the caliber of actors they managed to snag for this movie).

This is a must-see movie for anyone who has ever liked Batman, and even those who don't.

It was good, but I think it was long at some parts.

      exactly.

they did an AMAZING job of developing batman, they didnt do it half assed and the result was a flawless and balanced meld of many genres into one, horror, drama, and action.

not since braveheart have i been so pleased with an action film.

the only thing wrong with this movie was christian bale as batman.

the best part of the movie was michael cane as alfred.

9.8/10 best film ive seen in theatres since secondhand lions.

edit: the length was the best thing about it (next to michael cane of course). I hate a shallow, narrow minded action film.

How was the Batmobile? I have always liked his cars. Yes, I know it looks like a SUV.

It's pretty damn cool. They explain what it was designed for which is why it can do some of the crazy stuff its capable of. It plays a large part in the second half of the movie.

Sarah and I were going to go see it, but we got out of the house too late to make the last showing. We're going tonight, though.

                    Spoiler Warning!

                    SPOILER WARNING!

Dude this movie was freakin sweet! Better than Episode 3! I told all my friends that this is the movie I was waiting for this summer, no matter how good Star Wars turned out to be, and I was right! Now first of all, forget all the previous movies, this one stands on its own, if for no other reason than the ending. And for those of you who have seen it, you know what I mean. If thats a setup for the next one, and I bet it is, I'm already salivating. When I saw that card, I got an instant hard-on. Christian Bale was the perfect blend of Batman and Bruce Wayne. Going in, I wasn't sure how I was going to like the new Batmobile, but that was the best so far, even better than Keatons Batmobile. I must say, I still like Keatons Batsuit the best though, with the big yellow bat symbol. Those that have read 'The Dark Knight Returns' will know where I'm coming from. I also liked the music from the first one the best too. My only gripe about this movie was Ra's al Ghul. They made him out to be a vigilante instead of and eco-terrorist. Of course, in both forms he tried to destroy Gotham with a plauge, but still, they didn't even get into his near imortality, which is a key aspect of the character. But you know what I liked best about this movie? No Bat-nipples!

Actually they DID sorta cover his immortality, just in a different way than you'd expect, and one I won't mention here without giving away major parts of the plot.

Ah, secret identities and passing on a legacy don't count on the imortality front, although the fact that he wanted Bruce as an heir of sorts wasn't bad.

I just saw it today and I liked the movie but I liked Cinderella Man better because in Batman, the action and the punching wasn't clear. The camera was shaking too much and couldn't see anything but in Cinderella Man, the punching and fighting was so clear! Anyway I give Batman 3 stars out of 4... Cinderella Man is a 4 out of 4 for me.

I agree about the fighting, the camera shook to much. It seems to me that that is pretty common in most movies these days. The movie is rated PG-13, and I'd say that it's a reasonable rating. There were a few scenes, such as when the maggots and such are crawling all over the Scarecrows mask that little kids might not like.
