me and my dad spent time together de-greasing a 350 SBC and painting it to put in my 1980 cutlass supreme, its our projet but my car.... i gues i sorta bought him a timing chain and gears.

after that, my grandpa, him and i went to the bar and my grandpa bought me a coke and my dad a few beers.

it was good times hanging out with my dad and his dad.

The kids in my family pitched in for the 5 piece craftsman power tool set with tool cases at sears.. Life time warranty baby!!!..
Also got him 2 Modest Mouse CD's and a card with a bumper sticker in it..

oh yea. and the left overs from this really good Italian Restraunt in town, he didn't want to go with us cause he needed to go see my mom in the hospital. So my boy and I ordered a lagrge pizza and 4 meals between the two of us just so we would have "left overs" to take to my father.

An almost all expenses paid, first class trip to Vegas, and a new swiss army knife, to replace the one that the TSA took from him when he forgot it in his pocket at the airport security check point.

A two nights stay at Leo Palace Golf resort and three free days of golf. Also a new pitching wedge and a day pass at the Spa for my mom so she wont feel left out.

Meanwhile I mowed the lawn and washed the cars and had a huge party on Saturday night. And later that night had a sleep over with my friend Patrice.

                          yeah I win

My Dad gets lost all the time. Literally. He can't drive to places he has been to 5 or 10 times before. I inherited it from him as well. It really sucks to have absolutely no sense of direction and not a good enough memory to drive to places I have been to several times. So I got my Dad a Magellan 700 GPS. It's pretty cool. It has all the maps for USA and a little Canada and Europe loaded into the hard drive inside allready. Don't see him driving in Europe, but you never know. Now the big problem is showing him how to use it. I am still showing him how to use his cell phone from 3 years ago that has no features whatsoever. He is not electronically inclined. He is very old school. He doesn't even have an ATM card.

It's a good thing they did - Bose (in general) is CRAP. Save yourself a hundred bucks or so and get something better.

I got my dad a Panasonic PVGS-150 camcorder and some tapes.
