    Hmm, seeing as Zappa was not an option:) But Zappa is great. Not the greatest musically, but his wit and over the top lyrics were very controversial for the time.

    Anyone who could take an entire B side of an album and tell a story about a mountain taking a vacation across the US has to be good.

          Beatles are and forever will be the kings of pop music imho... hence why MJackson owns alot of the rights to the music I guess...

          however Pink Floyd is greater than all imho.

            Personally I'd have to go with Pink Floyd but that's because I was raised on them.

            that and the Dark Side of Oz is hella cool.

                you sound like the kind of guy who hasnt heard the white album.

                really, the beatles did more than a popular cover of "twist and shout", the things the beatles did at the latter 2/3rds of their career were as much if not more psycadellic than the post-wish you were here pink floyd you most likely listen to. with the exception of revolution number nine every song ever produced by the beatles could be considered a "good hit", actually, scratch that, revolution number nine was infamous but still popular.

                  i myself listen to only older music ive tried with the new stuff but i listen to it and then i say what went wrong?

                          you wanna break this down for me becasue i honestly dont understand like 1/2 of it.Or was it not all directed at me??
                          Point i was making is since the beetles influenced todays music and since "it wouldnt be were it is today if it werent for the beetles" and seeing how today music completely sucks...wel yea hopefully you see what im saying.If not o well.
