    Mp Thrizzle Suggestions?

Well, I decided to take my iPod Shuffle swimming with me today, and now for some reason it doesn't work.
I won't be able to survive the summer without my Mp3s near me, and have also noticed that Napster is CONSIDERABLY cheaper then iTunes. That helped me make the decision not to go back to Apple.

So, what off this list should I pick up that's under $250 and has at least 5 gigs?

Rio Karma. I have one and it works great. Really cheap too.

I've got to warn you that although Napster is much cheaper, they have a horrible selection of songs, and the whole "if you end your subscription, your music stops working" thing is a pain in the butt. iTunes is still too expensive for my taste, though.

I guess a synonym for butt is a naughty word.

Rio karma is great. My friend has one and loves it.

I have a Creative Zen Micro. Wonderful player, my only complaint is the battery life (10 to 12 hours) which isn't really that bad when compared to the older iPods.

if you arent gonna go wiht apple get a rio karma, i loved mine, then it was in the middle counsol of my car and someone leaning over the console bent the head phone jack and it only worked on channel from then on. But it was a great mp3 player I would deffintly recomend it.

probably just needs a new battery... thats where all the water damage usually is.

It's around $150 for a new battery and installation, and that may not even fix the problem. For that price I could buy a new one, and for $50 a better one.

Now I am starting to have doubts about switching to Napster, they have a poor selection.

In my experiences napster has a pretty good selection. I dont like how they encode their mp3s, I think thats gay. I mean honestly if you paid for the damn things you should be able to use them how ever you like. I prefer just buying cds

artists get what, a few cents per cd? im willing to bet its not much more for MP3s. they make most of their money from concerts.

personally id say go back to apple. i have a samsung MP3 player, which comes with napster. the software on the computer can just be plain annoying, its not designed well plus occasionally it has glitches. ive never tried their music service, but the way it stops working after your subscription expires doesnt make me want to. the samsung MP3 player itself had many problems, plus software that wasnt all that great. it eventually died every time i tried to use it and i had to take it back. the new one i got isnt much better.

arachos or whatever its called MP3 players just plain never work. dont buy them.

three of my friends have or have had dell MP3 players. all of them had problems, and eventually broke.

Ipods, on the other hand... at least a dozen of my friends have ipods, and ive never heard of a problem with them. in fact, i found an ipod outside, IN A RAINSTORM, and it was working perfectly. as you seem to have found out though, that probably wont work if you fully submerge it, but still. they are much better made.
