    job help

ok so i started at my currant job right beofre x-mass at a small production plant which my dad is the manager at (of another department). they have a high turn around and normally hire crap people so he was pushing them to hire and i found me self being an example of what he wants to see there. i am 21 and still in school. When i "Interview" i told them i could comit pass july becuase i didn't know what my clases would look like there and school comes first to me. so now my class are going to be rough and totaly conflict the shifts ther anyway so i'm going to put my to weeks notice in in the next few days. they want a formal one and i have no clue what it should look like i can throw o gasther some type of heading but anyone know what theses thing go and or look like. everyone at this place normally walks out of gets fired so i have no clue what they want and i be thankful for any help

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Google formal letter layouts... what they want to see is the headings and such, and just write a simple letter stating that your leaving is to further your education or whatever, thank them for the time working with them, tell them about the good points, and reiterate that leaving is not due to a problem(s) there but due to your attempt to better yourself.

By "formal" I think they mean actually presenting your manager with a written statement of your intention to leave. Not neccessarily an "official" two week notice letter.

It is a very good idea to play professionally, and not burn your bridges.
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

When I turned in my 2 weeks at the grocery store I worked at it was handwritten pretty much on the spot on some computer paper, then I gave it to someone to put on my manager's desk. Granted though I was only 17 and it was a grocery store. I would guess that all they want is something written so they don't forget about it.
