    Any one here burn incense????????

Ok, so i burn incense all the time and i would get it from this little store near me. They sold really good incense and it smelled amazing and lasted forever and lingered around. Although worst came to worst and the store closed and so I had to find a new place to buy incense from. The record store had some but it smells awful, it smells more like buring leaves then it does nag champa and jasmine. It is very cheaply made and isnt worth buying. I also bought some candles oils from the place but it is cheap too and hardly works. So what Im asking is do any of yall know of a place online or in SC that sells incense that actually smells like it is supposed to and not just buring fire? Any help would be great because i hate those air fresheners they sell at the store and have always burned incense to cover up bad pet odors and to keep the bad karma out. Thanks for atleast reading my thread and get me some help on where to buy some good stuff from.

alot of insence do smell bad and bother my nose, and i havent really had the chance to be a coniseur of them; so i dont know what kinds are best and the like.

Burning incense reminds me of a somewhat unpleasant week in bio when we dissected far too many animals in much too small of a (unventilated) classroom.

So no, can't help you. Sorry.

oriental stores, not the cheesy new age mix and match your karma stores. genuine chinese goody stores (even a food market might have some), where you can buy a 100$ box of tea, or try a thai/indian one if you can find one, depending on what you like.

i like incense, just for the smell (i think they should make cologne that smells like incense), but i think anybody that gets something spiritual out of it is just putting on a show for themselves.

            so yeah, chinese market.

Oh god, my little brother burns it all the time, and it drives me crazy. Sorry, can't help too much; I just like my air to smell like nothing at all.

They do in way already it is called Patchouli Oil. The reccomendations so far are good enough, the other kind of stores to look for are Indian as in the country if you even have any of these in the states. I can get all kinds of Incense both sticks and the solid blocks plus the oils but then I have plenty of stores in my town. I used to use an Oil burner, the only trouble I found with them is that you need to keep the water topped up as it can all of a sudden become very very strong if you don't.

i agree with ya there, nag champa smells so good, i burn it to keep out bad karma and i havent had any in a week and yeah, ive been haveing some very bad karma lately, and it smells good, just there are absolutely no places in SC that sell the stuff, good stuff that is, i know of some places that sell cheaply made incense and it smells like burning sticks rather than jasmine.

Here is a place to buy the good Nag Champa http://uncommonscents.com/nagchamin.html or just google incense and you'll find a whole slew of them. Or just head down to your friendly, local headshop. Im sure they'll help you out too.

buddhism and hinduism(sp?) have nothing to do with incense as far as i know. other than if it helps you relax you could potentially meditate better. but as far as getting it, i dunno. try checking any headshops you have around, as well as a GOOD health food store
