Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Spoilers?

Ok, got it around 2:30 PM yesterday, finished it at 4:00 AM this morning.

I didn't like it. Flat out.

I don't know if anyone wants to turn this into a spoiler thread, but I won't spoil anything.
    I was just very disappointed.

Disappointed why? I thought it was a necessary book... not as action-packed, but necessary nonetheless. If you wanna talk about it, send me a PM, let's not spoil it here.

So I thought I would tease my girlfriend and try to skim thru the book to find out who the half-blood prince is.
Next thing I know I find myself kinda interested in what I am reading.
Normally I read more dungeon and dragon type fantasy novels. Skip to ten minutes after she gets out of the shower and I am in Borders buying the first five books. She hasn't let me go about it since.

Great imagination to these books and they are just so innocent compared to what I am used to.

i really really really want to read, actually i would love to read, but i cant, when i sit down to do say summer reading and i start reading the book i may get 2 pages in when a word or phrase catches my eye and i start thinking about it and then stuff realated to that starts comeing to mind and im still reading words and not getting anything and i cant stand it because i really wanna good vocabulary and would like to read much faster then i do now but i cant because i cant seem to get into books, it is the same with tv and everything in general, even with the comp, i sign on and off constantly because ill forget why i got on, all and all, i think i should see a doctor because i have no patience i guess.

Ha, he got banned. Holy whack that's lame, you play paintball, sleep, play video games, and get banned from an internet forum 5 posts after you got there? Now THAT sir is lame.

Now I'll let you in on a little secret: reading makes you smart. Judging from your post, being smart or accomplishing anything in life isn't the biggest priority in life, but there is a life outside of working at McDonalds and doing the other two things you said you enjoy.

I'd rather sit down and read a good grisham or cussler book than play video games any day. I guess that makes me a short term loser, but long time winner

I thought it read a bit differently than the other books. There seemed to have been less change in pace. I can't say I didn't enjoy the book though.
