Live action. Great. Sorry, but giant transforming robots and Japanese anime go great together ... why did anyone think that *almost looks real but not quite* computer animation would work better???

i don't know if it will have the same appeal since it is more set in the "real world."
i have the same fear of this movie as i do the live action Neon Genesis Evangelion movie. why can't some people leave well enough alone?

Well, look at all the movies that have come out this year ... name the last time you saw a movie based on an original idea. There is no progress *now*. It's not like people are remaking bad stuff, it's mostly good materials that are being rehashed. This isn't progress, it's stagnation. Jesh, the last original movie I saw was Shaolin Soccer.

As long as bumblebee doesnt come out sounding effeminate with a lisp, and Ironhide is sufficiently hardcore...

It would be hard to have Soundwave transform from a big beat-box into a 15' tall robot... and THEN spit out cassettes that turn into 8' tall robots...

If he wasn't such an integral character I'd say just leave him out...

I'm really curious how much of the effects will be live action and what will be CG...

that will ultimately make or break the visuals...

Peter Cullen is still active in voice work (Eeyore)...you can't replace such a unique voice as Prime's with just anyone.

In the original 80's animated movie there was alot of great 80's power metal... except for one song.. Wierd Al Yankovic's " Dare To Be Stupid "
