what an awesome movie. johnny depp was great as was freddie highmore. the original was a good movie but i liked this one more. the supporting characters were good and i thought they did a good job on the flashbacks too.

Destroyed a classic movie? That "classic movie" destroyed the image of a classic book. Roald Dahl hated the first movie.

I almost saw it the other day, but the girl i was with had already seen it and really liked it but wanted to see a different movie. I really want to see it though.

O.G. was pretty tight...

But this re-make stands far above Planet of the Apes as far as Burton remakes. I liked it a lot. Kept to the text a lot better.

I also felt like Depp as reclusive played better than the "P.T. Barnum" style of Wilder.

we took my step sons to it this weekend and i dont like kids movies but found this 1 great. Johnny depp did a great perfomance i think compared to his other rolls.
