    Damn It! Where's my gun?!

My Acura TSX got jacked up in a hit-&-run about two months ago. I was without my vehicle for like a month.

I bought a brand new fully loaded 4Runner SE two weeks ago. I haven't even washed the damn thing yet... and lo and behold... what do I find this morning?

Somebody scraped the hell out of my door! Down to the metal.... Off to file another hit-&-run report...

That sucks man... Where are you parking? I know that if I park ANYWHERE on the street in my town (downtown area mostly) that it's like a 50% chance that I will get hit. I had someone do it once at school but I was still in the car. He just about crapped his pants when i jumped out of the car into the street and started going ballistic.

Same thing happend a while back to a buddy's 280Z. He had just got it painted a nice Black, and parker outside of my house, near the North Las vegas Area (the Crappy one, back when I still lived in vegas) and Someone totally hit him, and drove the hell off.
      He was pissed.
It destroyed the driver's side headlight, and threw off his alignment.

That night we got pulled over for 'wandering' on the freeway. When he explained what had happened, he got a ticket. woo.

I have a curse on me that won't allow me to own a nice looking car. Every time in my life I have owned a nice car, bad things happen to it all the time.

When I was 19 I bought a Karmann Ghia. I spent about $2500 restoring and painting it. On the way home from the paint shop the front tire came off. It scraped the brand new paint all the way down the quarter panel. I fixed it and then a few months later got ran over by a duelly Ford work truck.

Later on I had an RX7 with a horrible body. Ran like a champ though. I bought another of the same generation that was absolutely perfect beyond a bad motor. As I swapped the motor a washer fell in to the motor inadvertatly. Locked up the engine and had to get another. After fixing it I ended up having to put 4 different transmissions in it in one week to be able to get home from Maine where it stranded me. And the last trans. was bad as well.

Had a great looking Maxima and it got backed into by an 18 wheeler at work. It also kept blowing out the relay for the windows, and always had a flat tire...it was nuts!

Every car I have ever had with bad paint or slight body damage ran like a champ till the wheels fell off. And for some magical reason seem to avoid getting run into...lol

Yeah, pretty much all Toyota vehicles are made in the USA now. The 4Runner is still made in Japan though...

yeah, i got in a wreck and my car is messed up too

....cept my car is a 93.....and has been hit alot......and it was my fault this time.....and it was not a hit and run at all

but, hell, i already had the drivers side door and rear quarter pannel replaced (from last wreck, i got hammered in the door by a old buick) So, might as well get the drivers side front pannel and headlight replaced as well to match the other shiny like-new ones on that side right? (just messed that stuff in the accident last thurs)

nope, still in japan. The 4Runner/GX470 and Landcruiser/LX470 are pretty much the only vehicles Toyota still makes in Japan. I think there may be one or two more, but can't think off the top of my head.

You are probably thinking the RX330, that is made in Canada.

Sorry to hear about your little bad car incidents. Thats why if i ever had a car like the ones on the show Pimp My Ride on MTV. I would get it pimped, enjoy it for a couple of hours and then i would sell it before all those dang tv's and such they put in the car get stolen or something. Or someone scratches up the nice paint jobs they do, or get the rims stolen. I would sell the car and then i would buy a pretty nice car.
