Ive been working with Linux since 1997-98 ... however I tend to stay more with OpenBSD for secure machines.
There are a number of us on here ... I used to be more into it, ie user groups and irc channels to assist people, but I work in a Unix environment all day so Ive given up on spending my free time dealing with helping others ... I get a big enough headache dealing with the off shore folks in my work so I dont want to deal with anyone else LOL ....

I use linux at school all the time because they have too many restrictions on the windows system. What i use is called knoppix, a bootable cd you put in and it leaves no trace on your computer. Too bad most games dont run on it otherwise i would run it on my home computers too.Comment

I'm taking one of my old machines and turning it into a firewall for my network using a free linux based thing called Smoothwall which sounds interesting ...
