    If any know the full name and title of this song I would appreciate an answer I know the title though the spelling is a little off (so makes searching somewhat difficult) plus I believe that there was an english language version way back when also.

    i believe originally it was called sukiyaki sung by kyuu sakamoto. it was a hit here in 1963 but it was released in japan in 1961.

      Yes that was the title I had (spelt differently) and the surname so time to search again...and idea on the English Language version?

        "a taste of honey" turned the "official" english version into a #3 hit in 1981.

          Ok got it...wasn't the version I was thinking of...I think I was getting the japanese version confused with the "feel" of something like a Western (Cowboy) movie title theme if you understand what I mean. A little bit like there are two versions of 16 Tonnes and although the words are the same the arrangement is so different between the two versions.
