If you can find/write the software to control an IR device you can do it in whatever language you like!

The car thing was intresting. With the right equipment it seems like it would be really easy to break into a car using that same technology - and many of the newer cars don't even require a key to start them just a wireless signal from your fob. So if you had the right technology and programs you could just steal a car with out breaking into anything, just drive off.

you might be able to ave your laptop out and record someones remote unlocking thingy(?) and then play that back and unlock the car
