AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I saw this vid a couple years ago and decided it was way too cool not to try. I've tried it with my friends dremel, which worked OK, but the first time I tried it was with one of my dads air dremels (as I like to call it, and have no idea what else to call it). It's pretty much a metal dremel that gets it's power from an air compresser and not a battery. Anyways, that trial kicked ***. It spun those cds insanely fast. To give you an idea how fast, think about this. To fit the cds on tight, I wrapped black electrical tape around a cyclinder-shaped sander bit (that was smaller than the center hole of a cd). The cds fit pretty snug on the tape/cylinder when I started out, they wouldn't be able to fall off unless I pushed them off a little. After about 5 cds, deep ruts were made in the tape, making it unusable, because of the cds spinning so damn fast. One of the funnest things to do was get the cd spinning at full speed and then hit them with another cd, making them explode (not a very safe thing to do at all, but I was a little stupider back then).
Actually, if you get scientific you can get the outside of a CD on a dremel to go past mach one.
