Still needs a bucha work. I threw it up in a couple hours and have not had a chance to go back and edit and clean it up. I lost my old site in a break with my ISP of the time. Had to get that one up fast.

Not much fuel for me so far. The University is getting it all. I am getting lots of Honey though!

Well people that call a car a "whip" are the same morons calling a paintball marker a gat. You don't sound cool folks, you sound stupid.

                  Nice care by the way.

As far as blaming the libs for everything, watch a movie called "Who Killed the Electric Car", that may change your mind a bit. It most likely has more to do with the car companies buddying up with the oil companies and deciding that making more fuel efficient vehicles is bad for business. It's not a lib or cons issue, it's a greed issue.

It is however more vogue to blame the libs, so good for you.

AirAssault - Actually the price of gas is a very lib dem issue. The greenies have put so many regulations on refineries that it is no longer cost effectve to make new ones. Not building new refiners hurts the ability to produce gas and other oil bases products, when Mother Nature fart in the general direction of our refineries what happens ? The price of gas goes up. This is very very linked to the Lib Dems and thier misguided enviromental regulations.

I am not a fan of the rape and pilliage the earth, I think we could do things as eco friendly as we can, but to regulate out of existance something as influntual to the US economy that can drive consumer spending/savings/purchasing trends as gas if a bit short sighted.

To the drilling in Alaska, the lies about whats up there are profound, the area is no a lush vital landscape, I know people that spend months at a time up there for the USGS doing reasearch it looks like a grey mars where they would be drilling. BTW that migrating carabou there the Pipe line was going to drive into extention, they are thriving and the herd populations are at record levels.

One must be somewhat intelectualy honest about what one expounds on.

Consumer Watchdog is a consumer protection organization in California, dedicated to safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers across the state.

showed Bakersfield was receiving awards for its efficiency and earning profits in excess of those typically posted by its other refineries in the U.S. The gross discrepancy between Shell's written communications to elected officials and its own internal documents cast is a prime example of the reliability of industry statements.

The company was obviously "disappointed" that its employees disclosed the internal documents. After watching television broadcasts throughout California featuring interviews with employees sitting behind dark curtains explaining the companies intentions, Shell eventually sold the refinery to Flying J. Ironically, the FTC subsequently issued an investigation report that seems to state that federal antitrust laws do not apply when a company decides to close a production facility. Fortunately, the report was not released until after the efforts spearheaded by California Attorney General resulted in a sale to a new operator. The FTC report encourage others to attempt to close refineries in the U.S. and if such occurs, undoubtedly cast a large shadow on any attempts by state AGs to protect regional supplies of gasoline or diesel. As major participant in the debate, I personally feel that if the FTC had completed its efforts before Shell inked a deal with Flying J, the state of California could have found its legal position undermined by the FTC report. Ironically, my reading of the FTC report on Bakersfield finds it went beyond just explaining the limitations of existing laws in such matters. The report seems to attempt to provide Shell a public relations defense for its actions, which if correct is a disturbing testament to its orientation. Often I am asked "How high will the prices go". My first response is to return a question with "Well, how much will you pay to get to work when the gas gauge is on empty?" I then add "Can't tell for sure, but one thing for certain is the oil companies are going to take this country on one heck of a ride over the next 5-10 years."

Also, I am pretty sure drilling in many of the proposed areas would have very little impact on the environment. No huge oil refineries, but very small and localized drilling operations with harsh regulations in relation to the local wildlife and environment.

Then again, I could completely off base, as I heard this two or so years ago from a secondary source.

yeah, after we decited not to drill in the ocean by Alaska China moved a oil platform within miles of our border but still in international water. Not even 100 miles east of where we purposed to drill. The greens win and so does china, but we are loosing big time.
