So, my buddies and I are in the city hoping to see SNL on Saturday night. We had waited 7 1/2 hours that morning (from 11:30 friday night to 7:00 saturday morning) for standby tickets. Standby tickets basically mean that you get the seats for any audience members that don't show up.
...It turns out that every audience member shows and we don't get in to see SNL. Fairly disappointed, we went and hung around Times Square for a bit and decided to go back and see the cast afterwards (the cast always leaves the same exit so you can meet them on the way out).
We waited at the exit around 1:00 with about 30~40 other people hoping to meet some SNL members. It was a pretty good turnout. Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan, and Tracy Morgan were all there. Anyways.....as we're watching people leave, I see this redhead girl with a hat (one of those flat Irish ones) walking out. No one pays attention to her at all, but I had seen "Orange County" just the other day so I recognized her face. I was looking at her and she looked back at me and smilied but I didn't want ot say something in that huge crowd of people.
She starts walking back towards St. Pat's cathedral, and I wasn't sure if I had the guts to go up to her. I finally decided "why the hell not" and I ran down the street (she had her back to me so she didn't see me running) to say, "hi". I caught her and her two friends (1 guy and 1 girl - she introducted me, but quite honestly, I don't remember their names) and I talked for a couple minutes. She was in the process of taking a cab, so I didn't talk for long, but she took a picture with me before she left. She was the nicest person and sooooo friendly. It pretty much made my year that I met her. Here's the picture:
