    car sterio problems

Please help me with my car stereo! Since I know nothing about them, before I take it in for
repair, I want to have some idea what is wrong with it. I have a 2002 Ford Focus with a factory installed cd player/radio. Last winter we had a cold snap and suddenly the radio quit working. The cd player works fine, but stations cannot be tuned into the radio. I have no idea if the cold snap was just a coincidence, but it suddenly quit working after that. Help!

If the radio works, but all you hear is static, its an anteana problem. If you try to change the input source to radio and it won't go there, then its a unit problem.

Either way, Ford should fix you up within warranty I believe.

If it's not under warranty and the radio is unrepairable, just get a good aftermarket one. Factory radios arent that great and are expensive compared to aftermarket units. I've had good luck with a company called Crutchfield. They'll send you all the adaptors you need for your specific vehicle and even step by step instructions with pictures.
