I agree, that will never be another car near the mclaren no matter how fast it goes. However, I do like the Veyron, but it has a huge rear wing that raises about 2 feet into the air when it reaches higer speeds. They were having problems keeping it on the track at high speeds earlier in the development process.my feedback

From what I've heard, the Bugatti handles like crap. But, even if it does hit 250, that still isn't as fast as the fastest street legal car ever-the Corvette Sledgehammer-254.74 miles per hour. Vettes rule!!!!!!!!!!!! American Muscle!!!!!!!!Die Screaming

How about a good ole' push rod V8 powered Corvette ZO6? A race car just legal enough that it can wear a license plate and a sticker price under $70K.
If you like going fast, the ZO6 is as good as it gets, without sacrificing all practicality. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I'd just spend that $1.23 mil left over on gas and tires for the Z06.

Oh i completely agree. I wouldn't spend that much on a car even if i COULD, but if I was going to buy something that expensive I sure wouldn't buy that VW.Originally posted by BlackVCGHow about a good ole' push rod V8 powered Corvette ZO6? I'd get a BMW M5 and I could bring 4 of my friends in plush style while still "hanging" with the Z06...AGD - We haven't chopped a ball in years, but nobody believes us...

If I could spend that much on something I'd buy a new powerstroke and pour some $$$ into upgrades so it could "hang" with the vette... Well it wouldn't be able to at higher speeds, but off the line it could!Originally posted by pointm@nOh i completely agree. Well, thats too much money. Its not race legal with a circuit that has production restrictions and its 16 cylinders?
Nissan Skyline has 6 coffee cans and is capable of 1000 all wheel drive horsepower... and cheaper not to mention capable of a whole lot better fuel consumption.
OHC is where the power is.AO #765

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.Comment
