Katrina affect regular UPS shipping?

i ordered computer parts and it said they shipped yesterday, tried using the tracking number, it doesnt work, even today. i know this company is reliable, and confirmed the number, so is anyone else having any similar problems, and is it possibly an effect of katrina?

i just ordered from apple a double click mouse a nano and a powerbook they sent nano and powerbook fedex but used ups for mouse and for the first day or two the tracking number didnt work but after that it worked so...idk i doubt its katrina.... good luck with it though
i should get my mouse tommorrow afternoon
oh and fedex worked right away

oh and fedex worked right away

because the double click mouse originated in the us, where as the powerbook and nano are comming straight from china. apple uses fedex for the international shipping and ups for domestic shipping

This is from a few weeks ago. Firm I work for drew this up to see how our clients would be affected. May be a bit worse on this list than it is now, but these were the affected areas.

Below is a count-by-SCF (SCF represents the first three digits of a zip
code) for some recent mailings in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Standard mail is not being accepted/delivered in these SCFs:

369, 393 - Meridian, MS
394 - Hattiesburg, MS
395 - Gulfport, MS
396 - McComb, MS
700 & 701 - New Orleans, LA
703 - Houma, LA
704 - Mandeville, LA

USPS and UPS are clogged up pretty good right now wether from the " Katrina " thing or just from the Mom's and Dad's of the US sending there little ones care pakages to school hehe..

For some reason things coming from PA and OH for me are taking for ever.. and even still a priority shipped item from Illinoise got to me in 4 days...

All I want is my VM68 and three 68 Carbines and I can entertain myself for a while. But noooooo they havent come yet so I was forced to go to my local store and buy and apex barrel.. hehe
