    Bad things about Condo's

2:30 in the morning you have a dream that you burnt the cookies (that was a nightmare, i never burn cookies). You get up and you figure out why. The whole place smells like something is burnt. You hurridly grab your glasses and clothes and head out to the kitchen. Everything is off, and put away. You start sniffing around. Bathroom, livingroom, music/computer room, iron, spare bathroom, can still smell it but you are safe.. Out to the deck and it is really bad out there.. Boyfriend says "oh must be the steel mill". You are not convinced so you go into the common hallway which has smoke all thorugh it...You hear the faint sound of one fire alarm. Up to the 3rd floor, nothing; down to the 1st floor and you see smoke comiing from #14. You call the fire dept and the condo emergency number (get a busy tone, go figure), then proceed to open every door in the building...
A thought hits you and you head around to the back of the building where said condo's widows and porch would be. TV is on but no other lights are on... You try the door to the porch and it is locked.. Feeling defeated and knowing that the fire company is on its way you head back to the front of the building where another tenant has wandered out fo the building at the sound of the main hallway alarms going off. A decision is made to pound on the door and "beep" the tennant from the front call box.. nothing. Around back again you see the porch door opening and a guy quickly extinguishing something on the stove.. At that point in time you hear the sirens and opt to wait it out in the front of the building.
    So what happened?
Stupid guy comes home from drinking and decides that he is hungry. Puts food on the stove to cook and appernetly passes out. Was awoken buy neighbors pounding/ringing him and extinguishes the fire. Fire men come and figure out what happened and help get rid of smoke in building.. At 7 am everything is ok again.
    Moral of this story?
I need a terry cloth bathrobe, sucks having to put on clothes in a hurry.

So the big question. Were any of the firemen tall with nice eyes?

I would have thought the biggest problem with a condo would have been the neighbors banging on the wall telling you to keep it down over there.

Also, this place sounds more like an apartment than a condo.

Wasn't even bothering to look at the firemen, no need to.

The neighbors are all pretty cool around here. Quite a few of them are older and can barley hear (lol). There are a couple of younger couples that live here, but they are few and far between (at least in this building). The others are bachlor types who are never home. which is good cause lord knows that Nathen can really get out of hand.

It is owned, and not rented, so therefore it is a Condo.. Part of this complex is older and considered apartments.. The other part is about 2 years old and the building we live in everyone owns, and pays a "condo" fee to use the amneaties (pool, work out area, clubhouse ect). I think that some of the newer buildings are also rented but I am not sure.
