I cant take this torture anymore

I am a long suffering NY JETS fan.... and the list of agonies has just lengthened by the news that Chad Pennington's carreer is likely over.

Being a Jets fan is like being stuck on the rotisery of hell and slow roasted over an open flame.

Maybe I should start watching hockey.....

Yeah, I don't want to hear it, I'm a Cubs fan. Damn curse of the goat. Never mind the state of the Bears. And when was the last time the Blackhawks or Bulls did anything?

You shouldn't be too upset. They have Bollinger to take his place.

Yep, you better start watching hockey.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Except for the fact that the bears, at 1-2 right now, could win the division.

i think throwing 5 int's in one game is not a good sign for things to come, but their defense is doing very good holding them in games.

Haha, there division defines weak - link National League West defines weak. The Lions get a week off and go to the top of the division at 1-1. Pray for byes the rest of the season...
I got out of state for my picks - ND for college football - Indi for pros, Yankees for baseball.

Welcome to the club. Theres a 12 step program somewhere to get you through. For years we in Tampa suffered with our Buccaneers. Though painful we managed to crawl from under our rocks and stuck by our team as they finally found the light. We suffered through the Lightning and now we suffer with the Rays. Perhaps one day they too will win a championship (who am i kidding). It is rough but we in Tampa know what you are going through. Your best bet is to establish support groups. Talk out your pain and soon you will be on the road to recovery.

                    Good luck.

Sounds more like you chase the better teams. You'll be a Red Sox and Steelers fan here I am sure.

I think it should be a law that you are only allowed to be a fan of a team that you have SOME connection to. Ya know, like you live or lived in the city, went to college there, is in atleast the same state, etc.

:P Nah, I lived with ND for the past five years (and it sucked), I live with Indi being beat by the Pats every year. I like NY because it pisses off the people from Boston :P.

Steelers -ok, but not my kind of game... I'd rather see no defense and tons of points. Boston, too "we're the underdog world champions" thing - you can't be both... You're either an underdog or very good... no balancing between them. Besides, its a team in the Republic of Massachusetts.. . And please, Indi's close, you don't really expect me to have hope for the Lions.

Sweet lord, Vinny is back on the Jets...

I'm actually very excited about this, One of the best seasons I saw of the Jets was with Vinny as the signal caller... Hell, one of the best games I've ever seen was the Miami/Jets Monday Night football game a few years.
Shaun Nelson --- old, fat, slow.... did I mention lazy? I ate all the pies

My uncle has had Jets sean tickets all the way back to them being the Titans... I went to all of the home games that yeah (98'), including the playoff game against Jacksonville. That was one of the greatest sports moments in my life. The place was electric. Even on the way home on the turnpike people were all still going nuts.

It seems that the Jets are cursed. Just like the Red Sox were. Instead of the curse of the bambino we have the Curse of Broadway Joe.

I just spent about 23 minutes listening to my old boss tell me all of this BS about how you never know with an unknown guy like Bollinger, and how Tam Brady was a back up to drew Bledsoe.. yadda yadda yadda... I told him I'd bet him my house that the Jets wouldnt make the playoffs and he wouldnt take it. So I told him to shut up and just suffer like the rest of us
