Wireless video surveillance systems?

Anyone have any experience with wireless or wired security camera systems?

Looking for a 4 to 6 camera setup for a PC.

I got 4 of the X10 cams and they are pretty damn good for the price. I have had them for about 2 years now and only one has crapped out on me and that was because it sat outside in the rain the entire time.

I was a little weary of the X10's from some of the reviews I've seen.

How far do they transmit and how is the resolution?

I've got to cover about 3300s.f. and the PC is on the second floor of a steel and concrete building.

I've got about a $1000 buget.

I've actually thought about installing something similar (way less sq. ft. ).

Its actually for my Fire Company.
We've got a rental hall and the kitchen supplies and such have been walking.

My home security system is much more violent

One very important thing to remeber about wireless systems.

Everything you can see, anyone else can see.

Do you want anyone to be able to pull up outside your home or business with a receiver and TV and be able to see what's going on inside?
