    Help finding a tattoo

I tried searching through google images to find Jeremy Shockey's new tattoo. It's the one with the American flag. My brother is thinking about getting it, and we can't find a up close picture of it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

    Edit for spelling mistakes.

Now seriously, I didn't ask for anyones opinions, I asked for help. If you can't help then don't. It's not for me it's for my brother, we both think its an awesome tattoo and he wants it.

do you or your brother have any tats now?

if you dont then you would not understand that tats are a very personal thing.

i would be pissed if someone tryed to copy my tats on them selfs.

and i would feel even worse if i had the same tat as someone else.

if you do have tats allready how would you feel if someone copyed what you had.

from the judge in the WDP v Sp case.... " i find it significant that aside from a somewhat limited notebook produced by gaston, the four named inventors offer NO documentation of there work or there contributions to the conception or reduction to practice of the claimed invention"

Even if you find a picture of his tat chances are you wont find an artist to do it, as they respect original art.

That is even worse than walking in and picking a design off the wall/out of a book. Be original.

I agree. While I think tons of peoples tats are cool... and I dig them quite a bit, I would never put them on me. That person had that designed for them to symbolize something important to them, let them have it.

Each of my 4, soon to be 5, tats is very important to me. I get compliments on my leg tat cause of its odd design quite often but its important to me, and if someone wanted to copy it I wouldnt' let em cause its important to me an dthey just want the 'cool factor'.

If your brother really likes that tattoo... have him bring a picture, and pictures, or descriptions, of other important to things to a good tattoo artist and have him create something original that has all those meanings intertwined. Make it his own.

2 Reasons not to copy Shockey's tat.

                  1. Be orginal--tats are a personal thing

                  2. Shockey is this decades Brian Bosworth. Can you imagine anyone nowadays admitting to having a tatoo just like Brian Bosworth's??

Thank you for being the only one to help. To everyone one else I respect your opinions but that really wasn't what I or my brother asked for. We wanted to get a close up of the tattoo. Call me crazy but I just don't see Shockey getting pissed at my brother for getting "his" tattoo, because well I don't think he will ever know. And we don't care if Shockey is brian what ever his name is or not, he likes the tattoo I don't see how you people don't understand this. HE WANTS THAT TATTOO! He's not going to not get the tattoo because a bunch of people that he doesn't know says that he's not original. Not to mention he doesn't go on the internet so he won't even come close to reading this thread. But anyway thank you SCpoloRicker for being the only one to understand the point of my thread, and being the only one to help.

Let the sheep follow if he wants to. There is no way to convince him to use his brain.

Do you do stand up? Cause I really want to book a ticket.

My brother isn't a sheep, actually I believe he is a homosapien. AND HE IS USING HIS BRAIN HE WANTS THAT TATTOO! you're all retarded. its that simple. I had respect for this board, but all you guys do is try and put someone down. I asked for help finding a tattoo, out of 11 posts 1 helped us. Stop trying to be cool by putting people down, and be considerate like this forum USED to be.

                          qft.

I had talked to a friend of mine about getting the same tattoo he has, which is 2 parts. I would be doing both parts, and he agreed to let me do it. I spoke to a tattoo artist, and he said unless I brought my friend with me to get the OK, he wouldn't do it. Now, not all artists are as stand up as these guys are. you may run into different artists who may be willing to do it. good luck with that though. I personally wouldn't copy someone elses exact tattoo unless it was absolutely personal (like the one my friend had was)

I just hit GIS for two seconds. I agree with others who have said that you should encourage your bro to find a tatoo that is unique to himself.

I'd also advise to wait until you've wanted the same design for several years before you get it done to make sure you've decided.

I am getting ready to get my first done soon, it will actually be two (shoulders). I've wanted pretty much this exact design for ~4 years.
