Absolute favorite - Rammstein. Currently listening to Mutter.
    Close second tie, Linkin Park-NIN...

AS for what music I like, I like virtually everything...The only thing I despise of is Screamo...

    As for categories..

Rap - Will Smith. He doesn't excessively swear, he doesn't talk about how many times he got shot, and some of the stuff is funny. And who doesn't remember
Now this is the story all about how My life got flipped, turned
upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air

Metal - Well, Slipknot is pretty good when you just feel like venting...

    Older Stuff - Louis Armstrong..

Pop etc - Do they even make pop music anymore?

    Industrial - NIN

Country - Well, Kenny Chesney has some funny songs..

Uh, no idea what category...But I do like Genesis alot.

National Anthem - The Russain national anthem is pretty cool...If you havn't heard it.

R&B etc, hmm, I hate Usher, his ego has just exploaded...Alicia Keys has some good stuff.

Comedy - Bloodhound gang..Didn't quite know what they were under. From "new Vagina" to "Pac man on Crack" I couldn't decide...

I have no idea what genre these guys are, but the Hippo's weren't to bad..Same with The guys who remdid 99 red baloons/.

    It goes on...

Somewhere between Slipknot, Stone Sour, and Dope. I also like Mudvayne, Disturbed, and all the other bands similar to that. I hate just about everything else. Rap (or all of it's other variants), Emo, Screamo, "Pop", etc. I especially hate "Rock bands" that think they can play hard (read new Greenday) but absolutely suck. They only get on the radio because their songs are catchy and emo.

      When will metal rise up?

Once 90% of the people that listen to music can understand what in the hell you're trying to say.

          Just a guess.

This confuses me, care to elaborate? I'm a big Green Day fan. You're pretty much saying... "OH NO! THEIR SONGS ARE CATCHY, PEOPLE ENJOY LISTENING TO THEM, THAT'S NOT A VERY GOOD REASON FOR BEING ON THE RADIO NOW IS IT?"

Yeah man... Greenday is 'only' on the air cause they're EMO. Except they've been on the radio constantly since the 90's... but who cares about 15yrs of being on the air cause they're extremely talented, its all about them being EMO.

I'm confused about the first part. Are you saying that you can't understand what most singers a metal band are saying or are you saying that my English sucks? I see that you're on roughly the same English level as me (uses punctuation and can spell) and I'm always glad to see literate people on the internet. If you're just saying that the metals bands scream, scream and scream, it's more than that. Yeah, there's a lot of screaming but some of those guys can sing really well (Corey Taylor). It's just something you have to get used to. I fall asleep listening to some of the older Slipknot stuff (before their self titled album when their lead singer was really bad and could only scream).

The Green Day hate spawns from two issues. My biggest beef was something that came straight out of Billy Joe's mouth. I'm a pretty big Slipknot fan (yeah I get flamed for it all the time but I love their drummer and guitarists) and little Billy had the balls during a concert to tell Slipknot to write a good !@#$ing song. This was just a Green Day concert where the Knot was not present and was meant as more of a public message. I had a little respect for his old music before but if he is going to run his mouth he deserves to get a beat down by Mick Thompson.

My second beef comes from their music being very overplayed. I know the new "trend" is to hate the "trendy" overplayed music but I truley believe that some radio stations need to stop playing the same three songs. A local radio station claims to play the top 40 but for a week they generally keep the same 5 song playlist. Greenday is always on it because songs like American Idiot and Wake Me Up When September ends are catchy. They stick in your head and the lyrics are very "friendly" to someone who has never heard the song. Very easy to memorize and simpe for everyone to sing. IMO little Billy can't sing all that well. Guitar in most of their songs is pretty bad. Same riff over and over (easy riffs too). Nothing elaborate coming from their drummer either.

And to keep this thread a little on topic, Richard Cheese does some funny stuff. His version of People=!@#$ is somewhat insulting but funny.
