    iPod Shuffle

    OK.

I need an mp3 player for the gym -- so I'm thinking about getting a shuffle. Don't tell me "just spend the extra 150 and get a nano". I don't need anything that big. I just need something small that I can keep a couple hours worth of music on, while i'm on the treadmill/bike, etc.

Anyone HAVE one of these? is it worth the $125 for the 1g?

I got it and I love it.
I don't really think 1 gig is worth it. I view it as you either have a 40 gig one where you keep ALL your music on, or you keep enough for a day. And between 512 and 1 gig, I don't really think there is anyn point in paying extra. You still are going to have to put on new songs when you want to listen to new stuff (Which in my opinion is not a hassle at all, which is why I got the cheapest ipod- shuffle)

ALSO, I'm totaly loving the fact that it has a USB port, it makes using it as a memory card easy. I do my work at home and save it, bring it to the computer lab, and print off all my work since I don't have a printer. And if anything you want to save on it, you're at a friends house and they have some pictures they took on it you want to save, etc whatever, just plug it in and click save.

Go for it, you'll love it.

The shuffle is by far the best bet for the gym. I am going to pick up a Nano, but thats just cause I HAVE to.

I may hold out and try to find a Mini around $150-175. for the extra $50, you can't beat it.

The shuffle has flash memory where as the mini has a small HDD. If you are going to be using this for a lot of jogging and stuff I'd stick with the shuffle for its lack of moving parts.
