    Coat Fix!!!

Have any of you ever seen a coat fixed with some wire and zip ties? LOL. My zipper screwed up a couple years ago and my mom put a new one in for me. She swore she was never going to put another zipper in a coat again cause it's was such a pita. Anyways the zipper she put in screwed up last year so I stitched it up with some craft wire and used it as a pullover. That lasted for quite a while but the wire finally busted at the bottom 8 or 10 inches from me pulling it over my head. So this year I got tired of the gaping hole at the bottom of the zipper so I got the bright idea to use some zip ties this time!

NEVER! lol. Actually I did buy a new coat, but still wear this one during the fall and spring when it's not bitter cold out.

Why thank you! lol. They're my work clothes and I figure why dress nicely if all you're gonna do is get battery acid , burn holes, grease, and hay all over your clothing. Notice the patch on the pocket? That was some acid at work.

The headbang smiley at the end was quite appropriate.

I love rocking out to coat-repair, too.

omg, that is just a bit on the hilarious side.. Good inovation on your part.. may i suggest staples next time, it is much easier to do, and I use them constanly when i am in a fix..
If you by chance want it redone properly I will be more then happy to take on such a simple 3 second task (I just happen to be quite handy with that thing called a sewing machine.

Haha yeah staples work good as well... I just wanted a heavier duty fix. If only I had a bigger stapler! We got a bulk pack of diapers once from 1800diapers.com and for some strange reason there were about 10 of them that had the sticky tabs just about cut off, so we stapled them back to the diaper (smooth side in, scratchy side out). Worked like a charm.

Oh and my mom's pretty handy with the sewing machine as well, but she has this hatred for repairing zippers...
