How to remove stickers off "stuff"

OK! My father just bought a used car, and well it's the nicest used car ever, clean and smells new. The car is like 98% perfect, except for a bunch of kiddy stickers stuck in the windows in the back seats. How should I remove it? Looks like the owner tried to, but he left the whites of the sticker, that's right the whites, not only the sticky part. THe picture is gone, but a bunch of plain white stickers are still there. Well b/c he saw THAT he decided not to continue and there's a few more whole stickers.

What is the best approach at removing these stickers from the window and making it look pretty again?

I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all!

Use a paintscrapper or razer or something. Make sure it's a GOOD one though, if its all dinged up and crap of course you'll scrape the window.

And goo-off or anything like that can never hurt either

      two suggestions:

      1. don't use too much goo be gone, etc. or you'll be asking us how to remove the streaks

      2. if there are stickers on the rear window and the car has defrost for the rear window you need to be very careful around the filaments on the insde of sed window. That razor blade can scrape them right off.

Walk into your local parts store and by brake clean - not this cheap ozone friend non-chlorinated (sp) to be sold in CA stuff either, buy the stuff that says not for sale in California. This works extremely well at removing most anything.

Edit: Ehh.. I see you live in Cali.. sorry man. You can try the brake cleaner you can buy there - it might work

Two other things can remove this gunk reasonably easily and chances are you will already have some...WD40 or Lighter Fluid, either of these plus a cloth is all you need, sure you will need to polish the glass afterwards but how hard is that?

Straight razor to remove the majority, and then Goo Gone, is the best thing for removing the stickers. Once the sticker and adhesive is gone, follow up with a good window cleaner.

Since I put those stickers on professionally

Goo Gone (citric acid) works well but levaes a greasy film that takes a few hits with some good cleaner or alcohol to get off. The best thing for class is to get a flat scraper or a plastic pot scubber (plastic brillo pad thing) and hose the area down with rubbing alcohol. give it a fe seconds and either scape or scrub it off, re-wetting the area periodically.

Believe it or not mayonaise works amazingly well. Just slather it on and let it sit for 15 minutes or so then use a hard platic scraper and it should slide right off

haha I don't want to risk making a mess inside the car. Where could I get goo gone? I went to a few local stores and couldn't find any.

Try auto parts stores. I've seen it in Walmart too.

Well.... I couldn't find Goo Gone, but I did find a thing called "De Solve" and it's basically for the same purpose. Do you think there's a possibility it might hurt the tint on the windows?
