interesting tidbit, is that leatherpants here on ao, owned and raced the white rx7 seen in the movie, racing the girl.

3rd Gen RX7's are some of the most beautiful cars there are... IMO, RX7's kill RX8's in terms of looks... Mazda should go back to making the RX7's... People spend thousands to get Supras to look as good as stock RX7's... Hehe... Makes me laugh

RX7s are cool. My friends brother had one. A 1992 I believe, but I could be wrong. It was really fast and sounded awesome but it was really maintenance heavy if I remember correctly. He was always fixing it and there were always little things going wrong with. I don't know if that was just his car, but that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth about ever actually owning one.

they are damn nice, but as the son of an rx8 owner, and some one who has driven both, i gotta say, the rx8 is so much more fun to drive, and it handles that much better.

What hurts more is to know that in the Dukes of Hazzard they wrecked something like 200 different Dodge Chargers.

They had less than 30 I believe. I was watching the special on making the movie, mainly because rhyss millen (if i remember correctly) is the stunt driver. They had around 5 "pretty" cars for up close shots and normal driving, and the rest were stunt cars. They totalled at least 10 of them jumping from heights of 8-10 feet. Most would just get repaired and used again, others were completly useless.

He's talking about the original Dukes of Hazzard series, at that time chargers were plentiful and cheap. I don't see how anyone could bring themselves to destory a charger these days

the charger in the fast & furious was 1970 charger. not a 1969. the biggest difference between the two is the front bumper. 1969 only goes under the grill (think of the dukes of hazxard car.). 1970 is the wraparound bumper.

dukes of hazzard used 68/69 chargers, and it was like 300 of them they wrecked in the series that lasted like 10 years or something .
series is way better than the movie.
