But even big wheels rocked. A friend and I were talking about how they need to make big wheels for adults.

But yes, Powerwheels were cool. They had them when i was a kid, but they were way more expensive than they are today.

for some reason, i think the more bells and whistles a toy has, the less fun it kinda becomes. the old supersoakers that were just pump and fire were awsome, then the bigger tank was cool. now they have different fire types, jets, big sprays, and cold. older action figures rocked, you could actually throw them without too much damage. big wheels rocked so hardcore. i wanted a powerwheels, but couldn't afford it everyso often i'll still bust out my old robotech toys. robotech > transformers.

Old toys are tons better than the new crap they sell nowadays. Like someone else said all the toys are too safe these days to be any fun. Heck even cooler than my old toys are my dad's old toys which we still have a few of. He had this army tank that would shoot marbles (broken but still the idea rocks!), an old metal firetruck/semi with a crank that would lift the ladder, an old metal dump truck, etc.

I even think that the older lego playsets were cooler... what's with all this futuristic crap they're selling these days. Give me castles, pirates, and town sets and I'd be happy.

Oh and powerwheels always have sucked and will continue to suck forever. Get a friggin go-kart if you have to get anything. Actually my cousin and I had this crappy plastic pedal car that we had more fun in than any kid would of had in a powerwheels. We would pedal like mad and burnout on the dirt, and then we'd take it to the entrance of our below ground silage pit and go down the ramp hauling butt. LOL. After we wore that out we used an old wheelchair to go down the pit.

Oh and threewheelers ROCK! That's where most of my time was spent was racing around on our threewheelers.

I remember I had the awesome knight rider big wheel when I was little. Lawn jarts were cool too. I remember my mom was real pissed at me when I threw one at my cousin. Doe anyone remember those cool water rockets that you had to pump up and they would shoot real far?

nerf toys were so much better, I wish I still had the chaingun or even the ballzooka

M.A.S.K was so cool, nothing they have now even compares to it. its all crappy fake anime shows now that focs more on collecting things.

plus everything now has to be "extreme" its all snowboarding and skateboarders now.

what happened to johnny Quest or oldschool Robotec!
What other sport do i get to shoot people on purpose?

Amen to that. The deadly toys I had killed off all the stupid kids and kept them from becoming stupid adults.

                          Lawndarts- never used as intended.
Stretch Armstrong - Usually met his end via a lawndart
                          12" tall Star Wars figures
Those motorcycles with the wind up launch base- Could tear half your hair out.

                          That was fun stuff.

You cannot buy any toy guns at all. A few years ago, you could buy some unrealistic orange gun. I cannot even find one of those cowboy lever actions or revolvers.

They used to have guns that looked like you could rob a bank with.

When I was a little kid, I had a Voltron toy. You couldn't take the seperate lions off of it, but it was ALL metal. Sharp corners included, not sold seperately.

It seems like toys are becoming of the fuzzy-inoffensive-unisex-girlyman type.

This is a dark time to be growing up.

Parents need to school their children in the ways of the 8-bit video game too.

Anywho... I much prefer the toys of old.

Gotcha (not the video game or movie), NES Track & Field etc, Duck Hunt, Transformers, LEGO castle sets (up to where they released the ghost), hot wheels were more realistic looking & last but not least... lawn jarts.
                                Sorry, I'm old
