It has been remodled(sp?) well i think the whole thing has,but i know they took out the 2 eye like windows...i believe it happened or it could...i havnt really read into it or seen any of the movies,but i believe in the paranormal mainly from expierences some family members have shared and same i have expierenced....

Yup, happended...no doubt.

It's not far from me when I lived in NY. We used to drive by there and hang out in HS just see what we could see... there was definately something wrong with that house. Everyone who moved in reported amazing/terrifying experiences and moved out ASAP. Wasn't till they had a comprehensive home exorcism and then remodelled it inside and especially outside that it seems to have quieted down.

Oh yeah really happened.. Ive driven past there to impress a few of my stranger girl friends in the past...

-My great uncle was the local Amityville cop that first showed up , and served over the scene till Suffolk Police showed.
-My father was one of two search and rescue divers on the scene , his friend found the murder weapon
-The murders were done with the guy under the influence of alot of drugs , ALL at once , Ive heard of LSD/Coke high ball.
-The freaky windows are still there...

If I get bored tomarrow Ill swing by there and take a pic or two, its only about 15 minutes from my house. That and my Great Aunt lives just the next block over so I can always stop in and say hey...

And the Lutz's in real life were strange , the local story goes more of they were seeking to get rich off the murders and made all the stories up. Actually my Great Aunt has had tea with the new owners and according to them the oddest thing that goes on in the house is well... nothing.

Ever go past the Massapequa house that was "Designed by a guy under demonic possesion" NOW THAT HOUSE IS SOME SCRARY STUFF!!!! 5 story tall , gothic mansion looking thing , with a 7 foot tall iron fence , red front porch light , and mad hearse's parked out front...

Oh yeah...Long Island is full of scary stuff. Haunted cemetarys , houses etc. The Hills of the Seven Sisters...nother crazy place.All awesome places to take the girls back in high school days, always guaranteed to get you 'in'.

the creepy "eye" windows havn't been there in a long time.

they are now square. and the house is beautiful.
I've been getting into that stuff lately, i should pick the book up.
Michigan doesn't have alot of haunted stuff unless you go up north to mackinaw or older indian/historic towns.
