    Anyone ever build a kegerator?

Anybody ever build one? I wouldnt even be thinking about it but I cant seem to find them cheaper than like 600. I have a little mini frig that could hold a keg. Im thinkin I could cut a hole in the top of that. The only tough part is going to be the CO2 and the adaptors and all that good stuff. Ive also heard that they sell keg top co2 dispensers that dont need a frig...its just an alternative to pumping. So maybe if I got one of those and fit it on the keg and inside a mini frig and then ran it through a whole in the top... Would it be that easy? Im just looking for some input I mean it cant be that hard and I really dont want to drop 600$.

    anyone?

check Palmer's site for a CO2 tap. isnt that bad, includes a 20oz tank. then all you gotta do is fit the keg inside, and put the hosing in for everything. i know a guy who has one at his house, but he uses a larger co2 tank.

I've done it, it's pretty straight forward.

I also have a setup like palmers, (I do use a Stab) for my portable keg needs.

These guys, kegworks.com have all the parts you'll need, and are very helpful guys too.

The toughest part is the gas, beer gas is not just CO2, (but pure CO2 will work) but a CO2 and N2 blend.

I'll be making a smaller one for in the house use this winter, as I don't need a 2 half keg keggorator anymore. That thing is massive.

Actually, I don't have it anymore, I gave it to a friend, he lives/works near a Micro-brewery and gets some good beer on the cheap.

But I'll be building a new one for indoors use later this year, some more portable, (ie. under a 100lbs)
