    Recording on multiple inputs (audio)...

Could anyone help guide me in the right direction as to how I could go about recording on multiple inputs (at least four) for drums?

Preferably cheap... I'm using an Apple Powerbook and Logic Pro for the recording.

    Thanks for any help.

I don't know the mac side of things but for years I used "SAW" and multiple sound cards. Then I bought a DigiDesign Sessions8.

But there are so many multi port sound cards out there with software that supports multi track recording.

Logic Pro can do it but you need to find a way to get all 4 audio channels into the program. You're almost better off buying a 4 track mixer, mixing it down via the mixer and having the SINGLE drum input coming into the program.

          I agree with RK.

However, you might be able to find a PCI card that will fit into the powerbook that has multiple audio input jacks. i dont know

              That link timed out.

I've been using an 8 channel stereo mixer for recording, but im looking for something better. I might just end up sticking to two tracks.

I have a PCI card which allows for 8 inputs, but not only do we not have the drivers for it, we don't know who makes it... It is a great little unit that is pretty useless...

I'd say I'm just out of luck.

That's the FCC number on the soundcard?
