best thing to do I would think is to go and ask the guy who would be doing the piercing... If they are good and know what they are doing, they will know if it would be a bad or good idea.

As for the people bashing his choice in body modification.. at least give him some good advise before bashing it..

Sure; piercings are lame!

If you want a tat, come up with something personal, and wait at least a year without wanting to change a single detail. Don't look at flash, or wallwork. Meet with an artist up front.

10g is bigger than a 14g.

Common gauge sizes are named in even numbers down to 00, with the size increasing as the numbers decrease.
