Believe it or not, we mostly just used N95s, so it was stench-o-riffic. I have to say, the smell was quite unlike anything I have experienced before. And once I went into the authorized-personnel only areas south of New Orleans, WHOA BOY! Its not every day that you see dead cows and trucks in trees. And I didn't think mold came in some of the colors I saw. Even though I got a whole barrage of shots when I showed up, I still managed to get the flu, or something flu-like, as well as a nasty cold.

Well George Carlin jokes that he swam in the Hudson river back in his childhood with his neighborhood friends. And NONE of them over got polio.
