Thank you for contributing to America's moral decline.

Technicaly, its a moret (silent t) not a moral. A moret is what people view as right or wrong, a moral is what is right or wrong. Such as killing, if justifiable, is it right, or is still wrong. I know that this wouldnt cound as utilitarianism nor would it fall under the catagory of common good or consequentialism. It just proves that people are stupid, and hes not. He has discovered a way to make a quick buck, although he may regret it later, he wont at the moment. Its not his fault if the buyer is an idiot that just bids on impulse once they see something.

"He got scammed because he didn't read the fine print" - we would have a serious issue if a large corporation did this on a large level, somehow we make excuses when private individuals try the same sleazy tactics on e-bay. Sorry folks, what you are selling has to be in the title, you cannot "descript" your way out of it.

The example "she got raped because she wore that outfit" is also blaming the victim, or "he got mugged because he was on that part of town". Its trying to excuse the guily party of the crime / con. It does not mitigate the wrongness of what the person did - you cannot blame the victim. Thats his point, and while it is an example in the extreme, it is an often used example of where the victim is blamed, and should not be, for the anti-social act of the perpetrater (sp).

Up until the time that I read this quote from Lohman446 I felt that I should try to help defend the victoms some what in saying that only about 10% of blame goes to the ones getting scammed but the blame truely falls squarely on the shoulders scammers for starting the whole thing but Logman446 stated most of my point of view farly well . And when Steelrat made the comment of "Yeah, its like women who wear skimpy clothes, they're just asking to get raped." is like trying to say that humans as a race or any ofther animal in nature has no natural insinct to want to show of the fact that they are from a strong blood line. And as for the ones that does go out and rape someone should no longer be in the gene pool.

As for Steelrat's quote of "And those idiots who leave valuables in view in their cars, they deserve to have they're windows smashed and their stuff taken." is like trying to say if you only expect the worst of someone don't be serprised when they put a 45 to your head. And if everyone hide their items that is valuable, then the only people who would get anything out of life would be the company's that make safes, and we won't have anyone thinking out side of the box on how someone elses producted/conversion could be either improved upon or changed.

Also for those of you who are fighting over how a scam is wrong instead of stating how they feel about scamming is your right but come on people a scam is a scam no matter how you look at it.

Well before I get too far into sharing my thoughts with you(cause most minds can't understand the insanity, others tend to go mad themselfs) I am off to bed now.
"It is not the horror of war that trobles me but the unseen horrors of pease.""In an hour of darkness a blind mand is the best guide. In an age of insanity look to the madman to show the way."

What was the point of that? Technicalities aside, when was the last time you saw an article, or watched a program, about America's moret decline? The term morals serves just fine in this application.

As far as proving people are stupid, you are making the common mistake of thinking everyone else on earth is as brilliant as you are. Do you think the average US citizen has ever heard of this kind of scam before? You must think scams targeting the elderly are okay too, right? I mean, they should know better, right? Right?

Its plainly obvious that the seller intended for people to believe he was selling a gun, including the term "picture" in the last line only as some sort of justification for after the sale, when the inevitable allegations of fraud surface. There is no other way to view this sale, except as a scam. So, you believe it is okay to scam people, instead blaming the victim? Please, don't ever, ever, ever work in law enforcement. You need some sort of moral (or moret, if you prefer that term) fiber for that line of work.

I remember the great playstatio 2 rush.
This kid in the paintball club went and won a bid for a PS2 picture and only picture of PS2 for $175. So whether or not it is a scam there will always be someone who didn't read the entire post. Being that the kid was trying to take advantage of the holiday rush I really didn't feel too bad.

I e-mailed e-bay about it. Hopefully they'll ban him and stop the bid. We'll see.
