i agree that bike looks awesome.I have heard quite a few people recommend the R6, and a friend of mine rides one and really enjoys it. I ride a harley, so i don't really know a ton about the sport bikes, but i sure wouldn't kick that thing outta the garage.

        nice bike
The new r1s have the dual exhaust (maybe it was single exhaust with dual mufflers) right? i seen one last week in the back of a truck and noticed that. It might have been aftermarket exhaust, maybe not. Regardless, the thing looked evil.

I went to the dealerships today to sit on bikes and such. The 2006 yamahas aren't in yet, and they didn't even have an 05 R6. I did go to the ducati/triumph dealership though. I had checked out ducati a while ago. I liked their naked bikes. I went back today, and I realized that I really like their naked bikes. I think they would be much better for cruising around town and going to and from work. I'm gonna call the insurance company tomorrow to get quotes on the monsters vs. the R6. I think it's going to be a significant differance. It's a good thing I've got all winter to decide what I want.

the monster is a GREAT value also. Just before I started working at the dealership, they sold a 2004 floor model for a little over 3grand. I prefer the look of the triumph speed tripple, but 1050cc is a little big for a first bike, and it runs around 8g
