    Time for a pity party

Boy oh boy has life been going good as of late. Works been rocking, what with the new boss completely abusing both me and his rank, all the while working me through breakfast lunch and dinner. One of my computers decided to start on fire. I suppose it wouldve been cool if it werent mine. And less than two weeks after the debacle of getting travelocity to provide transportation for my fiance out to visit me for a weekend, I get a freaking phone call saying the woman that was to be my wife is dumping me. Yeeeee haw. Time to go get drunk and drown my sorrows. Oh wait, I cant because I have to pull 24 hour duty twice this weekend. So now here I sit on desk duty, taking a break from filling out a police report on my friend who just got arrested for posessing cocaine. Oh yeah and I went to the doctor today to have an mri taken on my wrist only to find out that theres probably nothing they can do about it being messed up. Someone here needs to go drink something for me. Please.

Really sorry to hear that man, sounds like you've got some bad stuff goin on

Hopefully now the only direction things can go is up!

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious, or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enough,

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.

The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.

eh you probably know the rest, seriously hope things go better for you.

Ya ever hear of Karma? Well, my guess, ya did something to get some bad. :)

Look at it this way, it can't get too much worse. Just keep an eye on the sky in case a piano falls on your head.

The only thing to remember in a situation like that is this:

No matter how bad you have it, someone else always has it worse.

I mean...you could be soopa villain...

I will however volunteer to do some drinking for you...starting...oh...about 4 hours ago...

          That really sucks.

In time, all this will pass. Life has its ups and downs, but it's all only temporary. Hope the happy times come again, soon.

Well, if quoting Monty Python for a pick me up I'd go with "Always look on the Bright Side."

Or, for a laugh and guaranteed smile "Sit On My Face".

But if someone is looking for pity, read about the crap Hitech's life is going through. That'll stop you from feeling so sorry for yourself.

Steelrat you havent been up here for a winter yet have you? It really isnt as bad as everyone says. The DoT has the road clearing systems down pretty well so you wont get snowed in, unless youre too lazy to shovel your driveway. And the cold isnt so bad because youll really only be in it walking from your house to car to destination. I on the otherhand have to live in a tent in this crap. Yay.

And in keeping with murphys law, that stuff with hitechs wife really sucks. And it really managed to depress me more. I went through a similar situation with the ex about two years ago. Only I was stuck overseas when she almost died and the military wouldnt let me go see her for 5 months. Spent a little over a year after that constantly going to hospitals and forcing her to take her 50 billion pills every day no matter how much she didnt want to.
Oh and speaking of even more military crap, so there I was today packing all of our stuff up for our upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. I was supposed to have the day off because I worked 24 hour shift yesterday (a day that everyone else had off for Vets day) and I found out two wonderful things while I was there: 1) Im forcibly being reclassed from military intelligence to artillery. Outstanding. I love working with people who cant comprehend anything except "Me make thing go boom". 2) I had to order a mapset for Iraq. It seems as though the way things are going that halfway through our Afghanistan tour, we will probably give our area of operations over to the UN and get redeployed from there to Iraq. Hahah haahaha yay. Thats awesome because after two years of training for Operation Enduring Freedom, everything from situation analysis to learning how to speak and read Afghani, we'll get thrown into a situation for which I have no training, no education on the current situation, no training on how to do this artillery job that theyre making me switch to, and absolutely no desire to be there.
