Need Held Starting Server For CS/DOD

Hey like it says im looking to start a sever for the Day Of Defeat mod for Half Life. Id apreciate any help i can get, cost, how to even go about doing anything.

ok, what kind of router you have?

if you dont have one, itll be much easier.

but if you do, wahts the make/model?

I do not have a router. I was considering rentign a server but thats not cost effective, so createing one on my own was my first choice.
