    Any wrx owners here?

I was just wondering if there were any wrx owners here and what there thoughts were on them. I just bought a used 02 wrx wagon and I love it so far!! I went with an 02 because the price I got on it was awesome and the warranty the dealer threw in for free with it was cool too. It handles like nothing I've ever owned and it has excellent uphill and good power all around. The only beef I have is that it takes only super fuel. I guees thats not so bad with the mileage. My insurance didn't go up as much as expected either and I have points on my license and I'm only 23. For 3 cars, 2 with full coverage and one with basic, I pay $450 per month.

Downgrade a grade of fuel, if you don't get spark knock, hesitation, or a check engine light indicating a fault in the knock sensor, (or whatever Subaru calls them), cam, crank, or the oxygen sensor(s) (again, whatever Subaru calls them) you should be fine.

That being said - its not that big of a deal. What does that have, like a 10 gallon tank. So the difference to use the right fuel is less than $2 a tank or so. I'd use the right fuel and not worry about it myself.

The lowest grade of fuel you can use is 91% octane, but no gas station has 91. It is either 87,89, or 93. I guess alot of turbocharged cars use higher grade fuel. I just didn't know it until I bought it. Literally as I was walking out the door of the dealer, the guy was like, "Remember, the car only runs on super." I can't complain though. I got a great deal.

My buddy has one. Drove it into the back end of another car the first time it snowed. You sure can go, but you stop like everyone else.

Ehh, its true of most supercharged and turbocharged cars... many people get away with running a lower fuel than what is recommended
