I read all those old posts from 05, and was like "woah, out of the wood work"

Then realized they were infact from 05...

2yrs later, and still terrible.

I joined in Jan/Feb of 2001, but then there was a database crash and a whole bunch of user names got lost. The site was down for like a month if I remember correctly.

That's why you see so many people with join dates of May 2001. They are most all recoveries from the db crash.
