    Joe Thorton

I can't believe the Bruins traded Thorton. He was the man. I know the bruins are sucking, but I don't think getting rid of Thorton will help. I think Thorton was the heart of the team. Maybe with him gone it's gonna be totally different and the bruins will actually do well. We'll see tonight against the best team in the league. The senators

edit* - hahaha, I just realized, like 4 months later that I'd been spelling his name wrong. Whoops.

Thornton was an underachiever and lazy.. He was the 'captain' of the team but he didn't act like it. He was supposed to be the leader ON and OFF the ice but he was neither.. Playing hard when he wanted to and disappearing other nights... He's the best player in the NHL for 10 games out of the year but he's transparent the other 75...... I'm a die-hard Bruins fan and while it was a shock to see the 'face' of the team get traded so abruptly, I'm not surprised.... It was his job to call out his team, during this tough time and who did we hear from? Tom Fitzgerald. Unacceptable to me.

i honestly think boston got the better end of that deal. out here on the west coast, being fairly close to the san jose market, we got to see alot of the development of sturm and stuart and both are very good players. boston will be better almost immediately.

Start cheering for the Flyers. They are way better than the Bruins and they have a pretty good chance at the cup this year.

Didn't Joe play on Dallas at one point in his career or am I thinking of someone else?

I think this trade will do good for both teams... The Bruins look like a much better team already -- night and day difference. Their breakout is noticably faster.. Time will tell..... 10:00 tonight vs. Edmonton!
