    Bahahahaha I Won!!!

Ok first a brief background. About a year and a half or so ago, the army saw fit to steal my autococker and lock it up, refusing to let me see it until I registered it as a deadly weapon with the police. After many incidents of them trying to force me to register it as a deadly weapon and me subsequently refusing on moral grounds, it seems as though the unit armorer almost got thrown in jail the other day because some Physical Security inspector found it in there unregistered. So they finally caved in and now I get to send my gun home, which is what I wanted in the first place. Yay! Take that, establishment

Its not an unregistered deadly weapon. It is a paintball gun. The rule about it being a deadly weapon is a Fort Drum Regulation, so if its not on Drum than its not a problem. Though it shouldnt be a problem on Drum anyway, but people apparently people think its a good idea to attempt to be as smart as a hamburger. And then some other people think its a good idea to put said hamburger-brained individuals in charge.

Army intelligence is an oxymoron, not that the boys in naval intel are much better I had a similar problem a few year back at Naval Station Norfolk. The naval presonel wanted (and eventually won) to give me back my e-mag and let me simply take it off base, it was the damn DOD cop that found it that made a big deal out of it.

I know every AF base has the rule that PB guns, BB/ pellet or whatever type of gun you have/want are not allowed in the barracks. In that case they have to be locked up in the armory. I almost had my collection of markers taken a while back because of it. My First Shirt found them and told me to get rid of them or lock them up with the SP's.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you guys bring markers with you...?

Many people live on base, no where near home. Where else are we going to keep them? The closest I ever lived to home while in the navy was 100mi away. I wasn't going to get up ungodly early, drive 100mi home just to get my gear, drive 30mi to the field, 30mi home at the end of the day, then 100mi back to base.

so, if you join the services, its alright to have paintball guns if you get them registered? are there local places to play?

Most (but not all) bases require you keep you marker in the armory if you wanna keep them on base. However, any private arm housed in the base armory will RARELY be returned in the same condition, plus the armory isn't open on weekends, so how are you to get and return your marker for play? Thats why I tended to keep mine in my trunk.

So what about officers? (i want to go in as an officer and get some darned use out of the stupid paper i got from my college; in exchange for many peices of paper that say i owe for some silly "student loans" )
Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....
