Has anyone heard the 411 on this tournament thing,i think it would be pretty fun....how would it work,are there teams??or everyone againt everyone?Not big team though,just maybe 2 man teams,that would be cool,but if they lose,they will just blame their partner.oh well.

ok i have decided it to be next friday night. It will be a one on one turney cause yahoo does not allow pairs. thye just have 1 vs 1 pool. it will be like the football playoffs where u lose once and ur out. The room we will use i have yet to determine but it will be one that isnt used much or we could just use differemt rooms for whos gonna play. The deadline to register is wed. at 5pm so i can get the turney tree together. I will put all names in a hat and draw the pairs at random.
so it would look something like this:
Snooky vs. Miscue
Footemps vs. Bond1313

then lets say miscue and foo won they would play in the finals against each other. And the winner would be champ. Of course there is more than that playing so the bracet becomes bigger. I'm thinking if the people dont show up to play u get a bye for that round. Im open to suggestions on what time to start it and if friday is the best for it.

so if we can get three more itll be perfect. because itll be 16 people so then its 8 matches first round then 4 for quater finals then 2 matches for the semi finals and then one final match. U can watch games on yahoo so if u wanted after u get elimanated u can watch the other guys play. I'll pm all in the tourney on weds so u know exactly whe it is who u play and how it works. Also i will post it on this forum.

i think it should be late,but not too late,like 8:00 o clock or so,or maybe alil earlier like 7:00.But your the boss,you choose what time and whatever.

Yeah they don't really take long, we can just put the shot timer on to move the game faster.

ok turney is friday the 1st at 7:00 pm central time. I think 2 out of 3 would be best because like u guys said 1 game wouldnt be as fair. Besides they take little time.

on the table and room i havent decided yet and we may have to play in a bunch of different rooms for different matches.

one thing make sure ur are somewhat familiar with the game so the turney can flow smoothly from game to game. I think we all should be on yahoo messanger so we can easily contact the other guys we are playing or in the turney.

Hopefully we all can get in one room so i can talk to u all at once. Otherwise i can make a conference and we all can join and chat there to get things straight.

On the timer aspect i ask u put the timer to 45seconds because this is plenty of time to shoot and plan. plus this allows the games to flow more smoothly. Ill try to decide on a room by monday.

One more thing when i draw names ill decied who the one to make the game is out of the 2. It'll just be the guy on top of the bracet that makes the game. After they create the game they will then invite their opponent to the game and will play the best 2 out of 3 matches and the winner will advance. I decided on 2 of 3 over 3/5 because of the issue of time.

make sure u have a yahoo id already created and also yahoo messanger. And also be familiar with messanger and yahoo pool.

if this works well ill put on another turney on a later date and possibly develope a league and have wins and such on a forum that will be updated frequently.
