They kinda ignore it all (when teaching it in schools, its almost non-existent)

They kinda think of it as a 're-birth' for Japan, a lot of stuff changed after WW2, even the language changed majorly.

But pretty much for the most part, everyone ignores it like it never happened.

as toda is my bday its an interesting day. Last nite when we toasted my birthday, in the same breath we toasted the men and women who gave their lives that day and all vets.

I imagine that for a place with so much more history than America, they don't focus on it as much.

Pearl Harbor is home to many Hammerhead sharks. if you know anything about sharks, you know what a bid disposition these guys have. I wouldn't recommend jumping in :)

The Germans, as a society, have been beating themselves up for the last 60 years about what took place during WWII. Considering what they did, I don't think "pretending it didn't happen" is a good option for the Japanese.
