Weird weather

Well yesterday as im leaving school during a snow storm it starts to lighting and I say WTF is happening, i thought lighting only happened during rain storms not snow. This is no lie anyone in the South shore can back me up on this. Also the retard superintendent of school didnt dismmis us early so the worst part of the storm comes at the end of school and it takes me an hour to drive 7 miles. Also the snow was coming down so bad my windshield whippers got stuck from the mass of snow and i had to clean them off. FUN.

ive heard of lightning in a snow storm but never witnessed it our winters here in missouri seem to be getting milder all the time

I woke up on Friday and it was snowing. Hard. We ended up with just a little over a foot, which is definitely bizarre for CT. My classes were cancelled though, I can't complain.

i hate my superintendant. on friday he decided to not cancel school. pretty much all the other schools in the state were closed, even the other schools in my town. half way through the day he came on the intercom and said that it was a bad choice to have school, but he thought it would be better to wait until the end of the day than let school out half way through the day, because we could wait out the storm a bit. bad choice.

the snow got so much worse, and by the time i got to my car i felt like my hands were about to fall off. they plowed the parking lot which only really succeeded in plowing my car IN, so i had to dig myself out. if i scraped off the back window of my car and then the front, the back would be covered again by the time i finished. eventually i was able to get out of the parking lot, with the help of some other people. then my car was sliding all over the place going just 10 mph, and it got stuck on the first hill i got to, it took a few minutes just to get 20 feet. after sliding all over the place and getting stuck a few times, i finally got to my road... which wasnt plowed, and no one had gone down. the snow was over the top of the tires. the car got stuck of course, and i just walked home. with the help of my dad and a few neighbors we dug the car out, and snowblowed a path to my house, lol, and i finally got home. it took well over an hour, and its usually under a 5 minute drive.

...then when my mom came home from work she got stuck too, and i had to help her get out. fun.

my girlfriend doesnt drive yet, and she said her bus got stuck multiple times. after she finally got to her stop she had to walk a mile through 2 feet of snow down unplowed roads. it took her three hours to get home.

even in the morning cars were sliding all over the place. after it stopped snowing, i saw that just off my street a car slid off the road, hit a telephone pole and fell into a ditch.

On tuesday, there were approximately 20 accidents before school. Four of them involved school buses. There was no delayed opening or anything. The superintendant (this is her first year) stopped taking calls that morning. The police had told her to close school, she didn't listen. And apparently, our town didn't order enough salt in time.

Needless to say, she closed schools in a heart beat on friday.

It is very common to have "Thundersnow" but normally you don't see lightning with it.. When it was happening in Boston, it was definitely something I hadn't witnessed before -- very freaky.

And good god, Supa can drive?

Or you could just use your girlfriend as somewhat of a 'flotation device' and slide around through the snow.
