So, if you're going to cause pain to it and possibly give it a lasting injury causing it to starve to death...why don't you just kill it?

Here is my nemesis! The Brown Recluse Spider! These guys always get it if I see them. I received six bits at once from these little guys and it sucked to say the least. I had them treated immediately but one still resembled a gun shot wound!

Anyone else think the guy in those pictures needs some serious mental help? I mean hell he knows what he's been bitten by and now he's documenting it.

There were some racoons tearing into the plastic covering our silage pit one year so we set up some steel traps and checked them every morning. One morning while checking them we found that we had caught 3 of them lil' bastards...

Overall I think we got about 6 or so.

My wife's uncle recently had to be rushed to the emergency room because of a Brown Recluse bite. He got bit on the hand, waited two weeks to go to the doctor. Then after the treatment he received did nothing, he waited another two weeks! Just prior to his emergency surgery, the surgeon told us that he would likely lose his arm to amputation! Luckily they had a specialist surgeon there and he saved his arm, though he looked like Skeletor afterwards!

What is with the creator of this thread???? He sent me the most strange PM.... I'm out of here!

I don't kill bugs. They don't bother me at all. Except mosquitos and Japanese beetles-- those can expect a quick but painful death. When I was younger, my mom would send me out to the rosebushes with a pair of my dad's shoes on my hands with orders to "get rid of those _______ing Japanese beetles." It's ingrained now.
i actually dont know what she did. i'm guessing i was punished when cought playing with them. multiple times. i was told by my mom that it was her. i even remember playing with them.

my mom used to stick lady bugs on her rose bushes' thorns.

at one of the fields i play at, i found a dove that had been shot in the wing. i almost squished the bugger diving behind some logs. i took him home and checked him out, kept him in a warm place, fed him canary seed, and then after a few weeks he was able to fly again. just not nearly as good as before i'm sure. just fairly short distances. like 50 feet at a time. i released him the next time i went to the field.

One of my friends, his mom, and his mom's at the time boyfriend (they are engaged now) all got bit by some brown recluses. His mom cuts hair at the same place I go, and she was back after a while but her hand was still way swollen. It was naaaaaaaaasty.

As for the PM, I am intrigued.

I wouldn;t shoot a bird, racoons are fairly big and they are asking for it, birds are gentle little creatures
