Its a Nebula ... that little jimmy, is where solar systems come from

And I would counter, that nearly ANYTHING seen through the Hubble is an extremely rare sight.

+10 for correctly naming it a nebula. It's a planetary nebula.

-10 for saying that's where solar systems come from.

Planetary nebula like this are the remnants of supernova. The concentric shells of gas are what's thrown off when the star explodes.

If you look closely at the center of the nebula you can make out the remnant of the original star.

Check out this picture. I got it in an e-mail. Says it was taken by the hubble telescope and is an extremely rare thing to see.
